Mezmur
Mezmur (also spelled as Mesmur, Mezzmur or Mexmur) is term commonly known to refer to Christian Spiritual Songs in Amharic and Tigrigna languages.
Orthodox Mezmur
The Orthodox Church in Ethiopia has over 40 million followers. Tewahedo (also spelled as Tewahdo) refers to the Oriental Orthodox belief to mean "unified". Orthodox Mezmur has kept its traditional music instruments for centuries. Drums play an important and central role. Other instruments make their way into the Orthodox mezmur but singers hasn't been seen with modern musical instruments so far as the Evangelical or Catholic churches in Ethiopia. On the left side of this screen, you can see a number of selected traditional Orthodox mezmur for your spiritual satisfaction.
